Directing.

Not just a “fight guy” who has directed thousands of fight scenes, Dale Anthony Girard is also a working theatrical stage director with the Stage Directors and Choreographers union (SDC). Majoring in both acting and directing while studying theatre at the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley (UNC), Dale has carried his training into the helm of both professional and academic productions. After graduating, he spent nine years with On Edge Productions, where he directed their live-action stunt shows (Rogue’s Gallery, The Prince’s Passion, Escape! – and Other Escapades, Check Mate, Pit Fight) as well as their comedy combat productions (The Hole in the Head Gang, Belly-Timber, Z☺RR☺!, Robyn Hood, More Than 2 Barbarians). With On Edge, Dale directed a reworked version of their popular comic western Hole in the Head Gang to feature musician Kenny Rogers as the Sheriff. In legitimate theatre, opera and the academic stage, Dale has directed at Fort Worth Opera (Roméo et Juliette), UNCSA School of Drama (Deadly Sins, School for Husbands, Imaginary Cuckold, The Learned Ladies), Indiana University (Faust), and the Hartt School/University of Harford (Assassins, The Summer People, 110 in the Shade, The Night of the Iguana, Picnic, A Month in the Country, Turn of the Screw). In film, Dale’s ability to direct actors and action earned him the position of Second Unit Director for the feature film Eyeborgs.
